Christmas Fairy Holly

Hello Bloggers,

Sorry I haven't posted much over the last few days - things have been a little hetic and I haven't been feeling too great either.  Why can December not go by, without me feeling poorly - every year?!

Had a lovely day with Lizy yesterday, although we both only managed to make two cards.  And later, enjoyed myself with Lizy's adorable son, Keiran.

Here is a card that I have made for Jamie's niece - hope she likes it :)

I have used the wonderful Mo Manning's Christmas Fairy Holly image, which I coloured with promakers and a bit of glitter.  The paper is Papermania Misletoe Kisses and have added some gems.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

- Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Things with Wings
- Lollipop Crafts - Happy Holidays
and finally
- Crafting for All Seasons - Christmas Cards and Projects

Thankyou for looking! xxx

Christmas Markets

Hey Everyone,

No card today but I have got some photos from the Christmas Markets in Manchester.  Like I said, I am hoping to go back and take lots more photos - here are some snapshots from my mobile!

Enjoy xxx

Me eating my first hog roast roll - or barm as we call it :)

Suzanne enjoying her hog roast!

The chocolates that we paid a fortune for, but they were yummy!  My favourite was the malibu truffle!  Delish!

And finally, Suzanne holding up our chocolate and marzipan mushroom - we had already taken off the flake "stem" before we took a photo, so Suzanne fixed it ;)

I can't wait to go back!

Thanks for looking! xxx

Ski Jump

Hello bloggers!

Sorry I didn't get around to blogging anything yesterday! It was a very busy but fun day :)  I went to my second childminding briefing session, which was very informative and makes things a bit more real now.  I can't wait to get booked onto the full 8 week course, and get started!  If there are any childminders around, get in touch :)

Then I went round to my grandad's and spent some time with my youngest godson, Connor.  Who was as mischievous as ever!  And then I met my good friend, Suzanne and went to the Christmas markets in Manchester town centre - just love that place!!!  Will upload a couple of photos tomorrow of our time there, but hoping to go again before they close, and take some proper photos!

Anyway, here's my card for today....

I have used another Lili of the Valley image - this time it is called Ski Jump.  As usual, the image is coloured with promarkers and with some added glitter for the snow.  I have matted the image onto some silver foil card I found and used some paper from a First Edition paper pad - can't remember the name of it :(  I then used a Marianne Creatables snowflake die - white cardstock, with a glittery edge and a papermania gem.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

- Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes + Glitter
- The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes
- Creative Inspirations - Snow Much Fun
and
- Sweet Stampin' - It's Snowing

Thankyou for looking and welcome to my newest followers :) xxx

Fancy Baubles

Good Afternoon - although it feels a lot later than it is!

Have spent the day with Jamie's mum, looking for some new trainers for his Christmas present.  Finally found some that we think he'll like :)

Yesterday I spent the whole afternoon crafting and managed to get quite a few made.  Here is one of my favourites from the session.

I used a stamp that I borrowed from Lizy (thanks!) which I think, is Papermania.  I have heat embossed the image with gold powder and matted the image onto gold pearl card.  I then added lots of pearls before adhering onto the green base card.  Simples! :)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

- Less is More - Green
and
- Crafty Cardmakers - Heat or Dry Embossing

Thanks for looking! :) xxx

The image I have used, is from Pollycraft and is Sweet Chester, again coloured with promarkers and some added glitter.  I have then used red cardstock and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder - Swiss Dots.  The paper is from a Christmas Papermania stack called Misletoe Kisses.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Hello bloggers!

Sorry I haven't been around this weekend - was meaning to post, but life ran away with me!  Helped out Lizy with a market on Saturday, which was fun :) And then yesterday, I did a bit of shopping - or tried to, to get the last bits for my tree.  You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to find silver tinsel and a silver tree topper!!!  Still haven't got a tree topper, but Jamie's mum has been given a purple star, so we're going to try that.

Lizy and Keiran came around yesterday evening to help decorate my tree - as Jamie is a little Bah Humbug - sorry, sorry, as he puts it, he's indifferent to Christmas, not Bah Humbug.  Yeah, whatever, Bah Humbug!! ;)  So I put on a Christmas DVD and did a buffet tea, whilst we decorated.  Thanks you two, I love my new tree!  It's our first Christmas tree in our own place, so it means a lot to me :)  Here's a photo of it.....

OK, enough about my tree and my busy weekend, onto the card!  I have made my first ever white on white card this weekend.  And I am rather pleased with it :)

The image is Pollycraft - Luna Bitterfrost; Frosty and again I have used promakers to colour it in.  I have added some glitter too :)  The embossing folders are Cuttlebug - Swiss Dots and Crafts Too for the greetings one - but not sure of the "official" name.  Have added glitter around the edge of the nesties too.  What do you think?

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:

- TotallyPaperCrafts - Let it Snow
- Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Christmas Fun
- Papertake Weekly - Sketch
- Crafting for All Seasons - White on White
and finally
- I Love ProMarkers - Snowmen & Snowflakes

Thanks for looking, and welcome to my two new followers!  (Lizy and Jen don't count, as I know them! :P)

See you tomorrow! xxx

Under the Misletoe

Morning!

It's not such a good morning though :( Have woken up with the lurgy!  Not good!  I hope some baking later with cheer me up.  Off to do another market with Lizy tomorrow, so going to bake some Christmas cupcakes to sell. Will let you know how I do :)

Here's another Christmas card for someone special - and I hope you're not looking!  You know who you are!! ;)

I really am loving the new Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps at the mo - this time it is Under the Misletoe and again, I have coloured the image with promarkers, a silver pen and added some glitter too.  It is annoying me a little, as I have noticed that the image isn't central, and the light is off putting now!!!

I have stamped the sentiment with a set of little letter stamps that I got a while ago from the Paper Mill shop (which is no more at the Lowry Outlet), and have used some paper that I got from Create & Craft - which is very similar to a paper range MME had out last Christmas.  I have added some Papermania pearls to finish it off.

I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday for inspiration too :)

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:

- Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
- Stamptacular Sunday - Anything Christmas

Thanks for looking! xxx

Christmas Snooze

Evening Bloggers,

I know, I know, very late today, but I have had a rather long day today!  I went to a childminding briefing session at a local sure start earlier this morning, to find out as much as I could about the possibility of becoming a childminder.......looks like it's all set!!  I already have my level 3 in childcare, so I'll be more than qualified for the job!  Very excited about it all now - just can't wait to get the ball rolling!

I also got to spend some more time with my lovely godson, Connor.  He had a fab birthday yesterday, and he and his older brother Paul - PK as he is known, loved his presents!  He wasn't that interested in the card, but he did comment on it being an aeroplane ;)

Anyway, onto today's card......

Unfortunately, my photos aren't the best today.  I found it quite difficult to get a good image with the card being Z fold - but hope you like it anyway :)  Again, it's another Lili of the Valley image, this time it's a Christmas Snooze - and yes, it's coloured with promarkers ;)  I have embossed the gold foil card with a Sizzix swirling folder - but not sure of the name!  This card is going to my Grandad.  As soon as I saw the image, it just reminded me of him sooo much!!

I want to enter this into the following challenges:

- Cards for Men - Fancy Folds
- Divas by Design - Anything Goes
and finally
- Simply Create Too - All About Christmas

Thanks for looking!  See you tomorrow xxx
